Launch of LMS Jinty 47493
Ex-LMS Jinty 47493 was officially launched into service on the Spa Valley
Railway on March 14th 2004 and despite the presence of rain throughout the day, a
good time was had by everyone who attended. The day was the culmination of an
overhaul that has taken 3 years, carried out by the engineering team at
Tunbridge Wells West. The locomotive should see regular service on the railway
this coming season.
