A Day Out With Thomas 2003

Thomas the Tank Engine paid another visit to the Spa Valley Railway over the weekends of the 5th - 6th and 12th - 13th of April, to see all his friends.

6th April - Due to a failure of Bobby Ashpan on the Saturday, Thomas had to deputise hauling passenger trains today. Percy spent all day at Tunbridge Wells West making sure that all Thomas' friends were having a good time whilst Thomas was away. "A really useful engine".

6th April - Thomas returns with one of the trains he hauled throughout the day.

6th April - Thomas and Percy pose for a picture in between seeing their friends.

6th April - Thomas takes a well earned break and meets some of his friends at Tunbridge Wells West.

12th April - Lady Ingrid waits to take her part in the event hauling trains to Groombridge.

Whilst Thomas brings another busy train from Groombridge into Tunbridge Wells.

12th April - Percy was unable to pull trains to Groombridge last weekend due to problems with his vacuum ejector. Fortunately he was made better by the engineers at Tunbridge Wells West and took part in the weekend's services, allowing Thomas to stay and see his friends during the day.

13th April - Lady Ingrid waits in the run-round loop at Groombridge having just arrived from Tunbridge Wells.

Then a few minutes later, she reverses past the train to couple on to the train for the return trip to Tunbridge Wells West.

Later on in the day, Lady Ingrid rests in the head-shunt at Tunbridge Wells having just returned with a train from Groombridge.

13th April - Thomas hauls the last train of the event from Groombridge, past Tea Garden Lane near High Rocks.
