Catering
The Spa Valley Railway offers a number of refreshment options to passengers. These include our static buffet car at Tunbridge Wells, the refreshment bars at Groombridge and Eridge, and of course our award winning Bar Car 'Kate', which we endeavour to run on all trains:.

Static Buffet "Emily" - Tunbridge Wells West
Emily lives at the front of our site and is open on most running days. She is a former Southern Region electric train buffet car.
The inside, which retains its original layout, has been given a 1960s theme with many pictures and adverts from the period.
The menu includes teas, coffees and soft drinks, hot pasties, bacon sandwiches, sausage rolls, cold sandwiches, rolls and crisps, as well as a range of fresh cakes. Emily is available to host children's birthday parties. These events include a ride on the train and then a party in the buffet. More can be found on our Special Bookings page.

Bar Car "Kate"
Kate can be found in most service trains, uniformed waiting staff serving a range of refreshments as you roll along through the Kent and Sussex countryside. Converted from a former passenger coach, Kate sells a range of drinks including teas, coffees, beer, wine, spirits and food including doughnuts and scones. Her cream teas are the stuff of legend, and on some special days, real ale from local breweries is on tap. Kate is available for hire for your special day; birthdays, weddings and corporate events are very popular! For more details please see our Weddings & Special Bookings page or email us at bookings@spavalleyrailway.co.uk.

In addition to a couple of Wine and Dine evening, we run regular Fish and Chip specials, where passengers can enjoy this most English of meals whilst travelling through the countryside over two return trips. These are held on regular dates during the year. For more details, please see our Fish and Chip page.

Groombridge Station Refreshment Kiosk
The Groombridge Station Refreshment Kiosk has been developed by
the FROGS (Friends Of Groombridge
Station!). This building was formerly a farm shop selling asparagus near Tunbridge
Wells. It has been completely refurbished to current standards, and sells a full
range of light
refreshments.
Below:- The Refreshment Kiosk at Groombridge is open on all running days.
