LT DEC No. 622 with LT Jib Carrier No. JC 689

Taylor & Hubbard Ltd., Leicester, England

An electric crane with a capacity of 6 tons, and built by Taylor & Hubbard for use by London Transport. Acquired by the North Kent Carriage Group in 1994 with the jib carrier, it has seen a lot of use along the line, as it can be towed at line speed. It was designed to travel through LT's tube tunnels, and so has quite a low profile. The electric transmission allows fine control of the load. Taken out of service in 1998, it now requires gearbox repairs
