"Southern Diesels" Gala - 9th & 10th August

The railway held a diesel weekend with a theme of diesels that formerly ran on the Southern region, although Class 10 'Colonel Tomline' hauled a charter train on the Sunday morning of the event. 

The event starred visiting Class 33 '6583' from the East Kent Railway, along with recently arrived Class 73 '73140' and Class 09 '09004', as well as long term resident Bullied Class 12 '15224'. The weekend saw all the first passenger train hauled by 15224 and what is believed to be the first multiple working of a Class 73 and 33 in preservation. Rover ticket sales over the weekend outsold any previous event held at the railway before.
