Southern Diesels Gala - 6th and 7th August
The annual diesel gala featured the home based diesels, including classes 33, 73, 09, 10 and 12. Also making its first gala appearance was 2-car Thumper 1317, which hauled some of the final passenger services on the line prior to closure in 1985. Class 73 73140 also made its public debut in its new livery of BR Blue and numbered E6047.
