Dine in style at the Spa Valley Railway!
The High Weald Belle, proudly brought to you by the Spa Valley Railway and The Complete Lunch, is our popular dining train that operates on selected Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes throughout the year.
Travelling on the High Weald Belle, so named after the glorious countryside our railway passes through, you will be able to experience a traditional pastime of dining on a moving train hauled by one of our Steam and/or Heritage Diesel locomotives. Our wonderful caterers, the Complete Lunch, will provide you with an enjoyable and unforgettable dining experience as you travel on the beautiful Spa Valley line. Step on board our restored 1960s carriages for the experience of a life time.
When booking tickets online, please ensure you click the "choose your seats" option at the top of the page after you have entered your menu requirements. This will open the seating for the train and you click on anything that is highlighted in blue to select your seats. This then takes you back to the same page where you can then go to the bottom of the page and click checkout. This then takes you to the page where you add your address and payment details to complete your booking.
If you have any dietary requirements (gluten free, vegetarian etc.) please add this at the time of booking. It is impossible for us to make alternative arrangements on the day.
Saturday Evening Dining
Dine as they did in the 1960s and climb aboard a steam hauled train for a fine evening dining experience whilst travelling through the High Weald. Arrive at Tunbridge Wells West station from 18:15 for a canapés and drinks reception in our Victorian engine shed. Board the train, travelling in our restored 1960s carriages in time for a 19:00 departure. Throughout the evening you will enjoy a freshly prepared evening meal served by our uniformed waiting staff.
Return to Tunbridge Wells West will be at around 22:00 when you will have an opportunity for photos with the locomotive!
Parking in Sainsbury's Car Park is for their customers only, please use the local pay & display car parks or off road parking

There are no tables of two available at present on our Saturday night High Weald Belle until December. We are happy and able to accept bookings of two on our trains prior to then however you will be sat at a table of four. This means you may be sat with another two at a table of four, two seperate couples on one table of four. If you are happy with this option then please select 'Table for 2 Persons on a Table for 4' at the time of booking. It is impossible for us to move passengers on the day due to the limited seating in our 1960s heritage coaches, by booking this option you are accepting that you may be sat on a table of four with another couple.
Sunday Luncheon 2018
Our Sunday lunch trains are the perfect place for bringing together family and friends in a unique location whilst enjoying the Great British Sunday Roast!
Arrive at Eridge from 12:00 to meet our dining train team to take pre-drinks orders. Board from 12:30, travelling in our restored 1960s carriages in time for a 12:50 departure. Throughout the afternoon you will enjoy a freshly prepared three course Sunday Roast served by our uniformed waiting staff.
Return to Eridge will be at around 15:45 when you will have an opportunity for photos with the locomotive.

Please note that whilst every effort is made to operate a Steam locomotive when advertised, in unavoidable circumstances a Heritage Diesel may be used.
Mondelli Pinot Grigio – 12%
This classic Pinot Grigio shows enticing aromas of citrus fruit and pear drops.
Hardys Varietial Chardonnay – 13%
A delicious dry Chardonnay with rich varietal melon and peach fllavours.
McGuigan Estate Merlot 12.5%
A wine with rich fruit flavours of plum and red berry, balanced by subtle oak.
Campo Viejo Rioja Tempranillo - 13.5%
A cherry red colour, its rich aromas have a pronounced intensity with an initial scent of ripe red fruit followed by gentle sweet notes of vanilla and spices.
Blossom Hill White Zinfandel Rosé - 10%
A medium bodied wine filled with delightful aromas of strawberries and the flavour of red, ripe watermelon.
Mondelli Pinot Grigio Blush – 12%
A delicately coloured wine with aromas of wild strawberries, zesty minerality and flavours of forest fruits.
Vino Spumante Prosecco - 10.5%
75cl – £20.00 per bottle, 20cl – £8.00 per bottle
This elegant Prosecco Spumante has delicate lemon fruit notes and a refreshing lively style.
Please note that only drinks purchased on board from our waiting staff may be consumed on any Spa Valley Railway dining trains. Diners who wish to bring their own wine (including sparkling) or champagne will be charged corkage per bottle at: £17 wine, £20 champagne and £25 wine box.
Private hire High Weald Belle
Our High Weald Belle dining train is available for private hire on days we're already operating or on days when the railway is otherwise closed to the general public. This must be pre-booked at least two months in advance, and is dependent on our own services and our caterers availability.
We can cater for up to 78 guests on board our High Weald Belle and even take you from either Tunbridge Wells, Groombridge or Eridge stations to a destination on our line of your choice! Welcome drinks receptions, canapés and even footplate rides can be arranged along with our traditional offering of a three course meal. This is the perfect way to celebrate that all important anniversary, birthday or even a Wedding Breakfast.
Prices for private hire High Weald Belle start at £45 per person for Sunday Luncheon and £55 for Saturday Dining. On days when we are not already operating then our High Weald Belle prices as already stated however a private hire fee of £1,500 also applies. This fee includes use of the Spa Valley Railway with a Steam locomotive and carriages for up to four return trips between Tunbridge Wells West & Groombridge, this fee does not lower if less trips are undertaken.

For this service you can only book a complete 'Table for 2 Persons' or a 'Table for 4 Persons'.
Ensure you book the correct number of tables for the people in your party. Please select Coach C as your choice of seats first wherever possible, if unavailable please select Coach B.
On some occasions it may be necessary to seat customers who have purchased a 'Table for 2 Persons' on a 'Table for 4 Persons'. It may therefore be that you are sat opposite another couple at a 'Table for 4 Persons' should there not be enough tables of two.
Booking with a Virgin Experiences Voucher/ Acorne PLC Voucher:
- Select the correct day and table size that corresponds with your voucher.
- Select meal options
- Choose your seats
- Wine is included with VED/Acorne Vouchers, this can be selected on board the train, currently it cannot be prebooked online.
- Enter the Voucher Number and PIN and click 'redeem voucher'
- Booking fee does not apply to Voucher bookings, but it will show on your booking confirmation.
Note that a £10 admin fee applies to all booking alterations.
