Join us and visiting Network SouthEast liveried Class 50 'Indomitable' courtesy of Paul Spracklen for a weekend of Class 50 action up and down the Spa Valley.
On our other train will be Class 33/2 33201 taking us back to the days of 'Cromptons' and 50's hauling trains on 'Route 62' down to the 'West Country'.
A special timetable will be in use on both Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th instead of our standard green one. This will allow 50026 to operate 6 return trips from Tunbridge Wells West to Eridge throughout the day, a total of 60 miles travel behind the Class 50 being on offer.
For operational reasons one of our shunting locomotives will be used to haul the train the final few yards into the stations, 50026 being detached just prior to arrival and then attached again for departure. It is expected that the loco on layover will undertake this duty at Eridge and Class 10 D3489 at Tunbridge Wells West.
Class 50 hauled trains will depart Tunbridge Wells West at: 09:45, 11:15, 12:45, 14:15, 15:45 & 17:15 and Eridge at: 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, 15:00, 16:30 & 18:00.
Timetable available here.
These trains will only call at Groombridge and not at High Rocks. For those travelling to Eridge on the national rail network there is plenty of time to connect onto the 10:30 departure.
- Adult Day Rover - £12.00
- Child Day Rover - £6.00

These fares will also allow travel on our other services in operation that weekend which will be steam and diesel hauled. You can change trains at Groombridge if you are travelling on an Eridge bound train and alight at Groombridge Station, connections are not available for trains travelling towards Tunbridge Wells West.
