The Spa Valley Railway is delighted to be hosting visiting South Eastern & Chatham Railway P-Class locomotive No.323 'Bluebell' courtesy of the Bluebell Railway.
The 1910 built 0-6-0 tank engine, preserved in 1960 at Britains first standard gauge preserved railway, arrived at Tunbridge Wells West on Monday 19th February and entered service on the 24th February. Bluebell will operate along with one of our diesel locomotives on Green timetable days until the end of March prior to returning to Sheffield Park in time for Easter.
Bluebell is scheduled to operate on the 10th, 11th 17th, 18th, 24th & 25th March. The diesel locomotive will be a Class 33 and the train will run with Bluebell on one end and the diesel at the other.
