Visit Groombridge to see an array of Stationary Engines once again in 2018!
Courtesy of the Sussex & Kent Weald Stationary Engines group a fine line up of their lovingly restored engines will be on display for the public to enjoy on Sunday 3rd June. Used for a variety of tasks such as pumping water these stationary engines were once part of our everyday lives and have fortunately been preserved for all to now see.
Train services on Sunday 3rd June will be in the hands of visiting Lancashire & Yorkshire A-Class Locomotive No. 52322 courtesy of Andy Booth and also once of our resisdent diesel locomotives.
Standard train fares apply and our Green timetable allows for a nice break in the journey at Groombridge station to see the stationary engines and visit the village.
If you select an e-ticket please ensure you print it off and bring it with you on the day!
