Rolling Stock For Sale

Now surplus to requirements, the railway has the following items of rolling stock for sale:

*Rail mounted tank wagon 3929

Built for Esso 1958 by Charles Roberts

15 ft wheelbase

22 Ton payload

12.5 Ton Tare

Vacuum braked

Suitable for rail use or static

   

       

 

*Flat wagon YXA DC611852 (originally part of Tramm unit)

Fitted with 2 x Atlas lifting jibs mounted at either end.

Hydraulic system almost complete, but not currently in working order

Suitable for lifting / carrying rails etc.

Air braked

Prefer to sell as complete vehicle, but would consider separate offers for jibs

   

 

*Tube wagon B741291

Built Wolverton 1955

Complete chassis & side frames (most timber removed in preparation for replacement)

Vac Braked

Ready for restoration

   

 

*Short wheelbase flat wagon(s) with timber deck

Grease axle boxes

Spoked wheels

 

 

*Short wheelbase open wagon (former Blue Circle internal user).
Good condition steel body (approx height of a 5 plank wagon). 
No train braking - Handbrake only.

   

 

*Gravity operated grab bucket

Suitable for the loading/movement of ballast

The grab operates by dropping it down onto the pile of ballast and then lifting it with the chain mechanism, engaging the grab to close.

Grab releases by dropping it on the ground and letting the chain mechanism down to disengage locking mechanism. Lifting again opens the bucket
