A Day Out With Thomas
Here are some pictures of the 'A Day Out With Thomas' event held in April 2002. "Thomas" was at the railway to meet all his friends and spent most of the day at Tunbridge Wells West shunting the "Troublesome Trucks" and playing games with "Devious Diesel", whilst his friends pulled the trains to Groombridge.

Around the yard there were many different attractions which included a vintage firing engine, a miniature traction engine and children's swing boats. There was also games and model railways in the engine shed.

Access to the yard also meant that the children could meet and say hello to their friend "Thomas". During the day whilst the trains were gone, "Thomas" shunted the trucks and occasionally "Devious Diesel" ran off with them which lead to a chase and lots of laughter from the crowds.
But of course, "Sir Topham Hatt, The Fat Controller" was around to keep order and to tell the engines off.
Whilst all this was happening, "Thomas'" friends "Bobby Ashpan" and "Percy" were busy hauling the trains between Tunbridge Wells West and Groombridge, but on each day "Thomas" also hauled two trains with "Diesel".
