Where We Are

The Spa Valley Railway runs from Tunbridge Wells West to Groombridge via High Rocks. It is situated on the borders between Kent and East Sussex in the South - East of England.

Tunbridge Wells West is the Spa Valley Railway's Headquarters and can be found by different modes of transport.

We now have signposting installed at the roundabout on the A26 into Neville Terrace and outside the Old West Station (Restaurant).

By Car
From London:-
Approximately 35 miles from central London, leave the M25 at Junction 5 and follow the A21 to Tonbridge, changing onto the A26, through Southborough. Follow the A26 through Tunbridge Wells, past the Pantiles, until you see a signpost to 'Union House Public Car park' on your left, and then follow the brown tourist signs. Tunbridge Wells West station is situated adjacent to Sainsbury's superstore, off Eridge Road (N.B. -  Sainsbury's car park is for their customers only). There are pay and display car parks at nearby Union House and Linden Close.

From the South:- On the A26 from Crowborough and Lewes, enter Tunbridge Wells and go under the railway bridge. Go straight on at the roundabout, and 'Union House Public Car park' is on your immediate right. Follow the brown tourist signs as above.

There is a large, and free car park at the High Rocks Inn.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT GROOMBRIDGE STATION.

By Bus
From Tunbridge Wells catch any bus heading for Sainsbury's - West Station.

By Train
Tunbridge Wells (central) is on the mainline between London (London Charing Cross, Waterloo East or London Bridge) and Hastings, the service is run by South-Eastern. From the central station the Spa Valley Railway is either a short 15 minute walk or a bus ride to Sainsbury's (West Station).

Straight ahead you will see the Old West Station building, turn right and the Spa Valley Railway is based in the engine shed in front of you.
