How to find us

The Spa Valley Railway runs from Eridge in East Sussex to Tunbridge Wells in Kent, with stations at Groombridge and High Rocks.

Eridge station (Sat-nav TN3 9LE) is located just off the main A26 between Tunbridge Wells and Crowborough. The station is clearly signposted from the A26, with the National Rail symbol.

Spa Valley trains at weekends are timed to connect with Southern trains from London and Uckfield, so if you are coming from somewhere along this route, rail is by far the simplest way of getting to us!

Please note that in 2011 midweek trains only run between Groombridge and Tunbridge Wells.

Like Eridge, Tunbridge Wells West station (TN2 5QY) is situated off the A26 at the western end of Tunbridge Wells. There are the brown tourist "steam train" signs on all the main routes into Tunbridge Wells, so follow these!

From the north: leave the M25 at J5 and follow the A21 to Tonbridge, then join the A26, through Southborough. Follow the A26 right through Tunbridge Wells, past the Common and the Pantiles. After the Swan Hotel, turn left at the roundabout into Nevill Terrace, and then right at the next one. West Station is in front of you, adjacent to Sainsbury's and Homebase.

From the South: On the A26 from Crowborough and Lewes, enter Tunbridge Wells and go under the railway bridge. Turn right at the first roundabout, go up Nevill Terrace and turn right again. West Station is now in front of you.

There are pay and display car parks at nearby Union House, Linden Close and Major York's Road.

Please note that the Sainsbury's/Homebase carpark next to the station is for their customers only.

By rail to Tunbridge Wells mainline station: On the South-Eastern's Tonbridge to Hastings line, it is a pleasant half mile walk along the High Street and Pantiles from Tunbridge Wells mainline station (formerly "Central") to West station.

There is no parking outside Groombridge station (TN3 9RD), but there is a free public car park in the village centre, just opposite the Post Office (TN3 9QY). This is approximately 150yds from the station.

The Route 291 Metrobus stops at the end of Station Road on the B2110 (by Florence Farm and the old Victoria pub (now apartments) and provides a regular link from Crawley and East Grinstead, with a new service on Sundays & Public Holidays. It also runs through to Tunbridge Wells. Times can be found at www.metrobus.co.uk

There is a large, free car park at the High Rocks Inn (TN3 9JJ), which is adjacent to High Rocks Halt. The halt is accessed through the inn's beer garden, although for the inn's insurance the platform is normally locked until the train arrives.
