FAQ:

How do I book my Virgin Experience?

  • Virgin Vouchers for 'Standard Travel for Two', 'Steam Train Trip For Two' and 'Steam Train Trip and Afternoon Tea for Two' do not require pre booking. Simply check the date you wish to visit is a green timetable day on our calendar. Bring your voucher to the Ticket Office when you arrive.
  • For all other Virgin Vouchers and Experiences, pre booking is essential. Complete this form. You can complete the booking form on your pc or mobile device. Once completed, it will be sent to us for processing. We'll email you your tickets once the booking is proccesed. Please ensure that you check the availability of the dining train here prior to contacting us, if it is shown as sold out then we will not be able to accomodate your request. We will process bookings as quickly as possible however reserve the right to offer a different date in the event of selling out. 

How do I use a Groupon Voucher?

Groupon Vouchers can only be redeemed through the Groupon website. On the Groupon booking page you can choose your train time from the available options. Groupon Vouchers must be redeemed/booked in advance. The Groupon deal offers signifigant discounts against our standard fares but as a result has a number of restrictions that are clearly detailed on the Groupon website. To avoid disapointment please check the restrictions carefully before your visit. Customers arriving without pre booking will be unable to use their voucher and would be charged the standard fare for that day. Visit Groupon website here

I have a voucher from Activity Superstore/Debenhams/Argos, how do I book?

Unfortunately vouchers issued by or on behalf of Activity Superstore are not valid for travel on the Spa Valley Railway, we were listed as a participating location in error. We are unable to discuss any aspect of these vouchers. For help contact Activity Superstore here.

 TRAVELZOO & BUY A GIFT:

Please check with your voucher booking provider for how to redeem your voucher. Vouchers bought through third parties must be redeemed through their voucher terms and conditions prior to arriving at a Spa Valley service.

Travelzoo & Buy a Gift cannot be booked in advance via this website.

Virgin customers with 'steam travel for two'  or 'steam train travel for two with Afternoon Tea' vouchers need not book in advance for a Green timetable day, please just bring your voucher with you and hand it to our ticket office staff, they will exchange it for standard travel tickets. The Afternoon Tea is separate from the Spa Valley Railway. There is no need to contact us in advance to seek clarity on whether to book for train travel or not.

Please do not try to book and redeem your Groupon, Travelzoo, Buy a Gift vouchers through this site if they are for standard travel, it is not valid and you will be charged full fares plus a booking fee, this is regardless of the code you apply in our discount section as they are not valid on our website.

Please note that any bookings made this way will not qualify for a refund.
