Virgin Experience Day Vouchers

Virgin Experience Days, Acorne PLC and lastminute.com

Please see our FAQ below the booking information if you have any queries as these may be answered below.

How to book:

  1. Click on the link for your voucher type for booking details.
  2. If your voucher type is a type SVR1N, it is best to check which dates you can redeem your voucher before making your booking with us, as the hotel may have limited availability for you to book their part of your experience.
  3. When on the page please select the date you wish to travel on. Do note that for a 'Travel for Two' voucher (types SVR1N and SVST2 only), you should only select one ticket.
  4. Follow through our website to the 'Checkout' page. You will see a cost to pay on the 'Your Shopping Cart' screen - this is normal, you will not be charged as long as you correctly redeem your voucher in the next step.
  5. You will be presented with a page that asks you to enter your email address and, just below this (in the Gift Voucher space), you will also be required to enter your Voucher Serial Number and PIN Number.
  6. Once these details have been entered you must click 'redeem voucher' before moving on - this will ensure no costs are charged to you. The website should respond back with 'Your voucher has been processed'.
  7. Once this has been done then you will be able to enter your details and follow through the rest of our standard process for booking - you need to click Submit Order to Us at the bottom of the page for your booking to go through.

FAQ:

I have a voucher type SVSAT and the hotel is no longer booking the Afternoon Tea.

Unfortunately we aren't able to use the afternoon tea part of your voucher ourselves, as this was assigned to the hotel.

It is possible to exchange your voucher for either the Travel for Two only voucher (SVST2) or the Travel with One Night Hotel Stay (SVR1N) - for guidance on how to do this please see the Virgin Experience Days help pages here. Unfortunately we cannot change these vouchers ourselves, this can only be done by your voucher provider.

How do I book my Virgin Experience?

Follow the Virgin Experience days link above.

Where do I come for my experience?

Please see this link for details of where we are and how to get to us by car, bus or National Rail train service.

Which timetable operates on the day I want to travel?

Please see this link to see which timetables are operated - the colour of the booking link matches the timetable operating on that date.

What time can I travel?

E-Tickets for travel only are valid all day on all services on the date of travel unless advertised elsewhere.

During January, February and March, all trains operate 'top and tailed' with a steam locomotive on the Tunbridge Wells West end of all trains, and a heritage diesel locomotive on the Eridge end of all trains.

The Dark Blue timetable which runs on Sundays in January, February and March only runs for two return trips and does not call at High Rocks or Groombridge.

The website is advising I have to pay?

A cost will appear on the 'Your Shopping Cart' screen however, as long as your voucher is redeemed at Checkout, you won't be charged once you click Submit Order to Us at Checkout.

I have more than one travel for two voucher - how do I book?

Please book each voucher separately following the guidance above.

I have a SVR1N voucher in two parts - how do I book?

The SVR1N voucher has two serial numbers and two PIN codes. The part ending in /2 can be booked using the links above. The part ending in /1 is for your hotel stay and your Virgin Experience Days voucher provider will provide guidance on how to redeem this.

My voucher code expires soon, can it be extended or exchanged?

You will need to contact your voucher provider for assistance with this. Their help page here may be of assistance, you can also contact them via Live Chat. Please note we cannot redeem expired vouchers and we cannot extend voucher validity dates ourselves.

I've redeemed my Travel for Two voucher - what time trains can I travel on?

Trains will operate to the relevant timetable at this link based on the colour of the date of operation (this will be shown on our calendar at this link) and you can travel on any train as part of your voucher, including breaking your journey.

I've redeemed my voucher but not received an e-ticket?

Please check your spam/junk folder for your email service as they sometimes are routed there.

Please also note that after redeeming your voucher as per step 5 above, you must also complete the rest of checkout and click Submit Order to Us at the bottom of the page for your order to be processed - you'll see a six digit booking reference on the screen if your booking has been successful.

I've redeemed my voucher with yourselves but now need to move the booking, or cancel it?

Please email us here giving your Spa Valley Railway booking reference number and your alternative date requests.
