Countrybike at Groombridge

The Spa Valley Railway is delighted to be in partnership with Countrybike who have a base at Groombridge Station for you to hire bikes and explore the countryside!

A bit about Countrybike:
We want to make Kent and East Sussex bike hire more accessible to more people in the countryside. Whether visiting the well known spots or discovering the hidden gems, great local pubs, village shops or innovative businesses, our countryside is here to celebrate and explore. Our bicycles are here to help enable you to do so.

Simply download our very user-friendly Mobile phone app ‘Linka Go’ from the App Store or Google Play. The App can then be used to rent the bikes on a pay as you go basis from any of our 16 partner venues in the area. You can rent multiple bikes if you like and the charge is just £5 per bike for the first hour and then £2.50 per 30 minutes after that.

In addition, if you want to hire the bikes for a full day, or multiple days, we also do deals to deliver and collect them (without the need of the phone app). If using this service we can also deliver bikes for smaller children as well and child seats. We are here to help and so simply email us hello@countrybike.co.uk if you have any special requirements and we will do our best to facilitate things if we can.

Helmets are available and free to use at all of our partner venues also.

Details of how to hire the bikes, where to find them, route guides, promotions and FAQs can all be found on our website www.countrybike.co.uk.

Our Facebook or Instagram pages @wearecountrybike are where we tend to announce all our latest news too if you want to follow us.

A quote from Suzy & Tim:
‘We cannot be more excited to be partnering The Spa Valley railway. The trains are a truly iconic part of this area of the High Weald and the station at Groombridge is a marvel in itself. Of course, the station at Groombridge where we are placing our bikes also sits at the start of the Forest Way off-road cycling route to East Grinstead. To us, this sounds like all the ingredients for fantastic days out exploring the countryside, which is what we are all about.’ – Tim & Suzy Seddon co-founders of Countrybike Ltd.

More information about our partner venues, the bikes and how to hire them can be found at www.countrybike.co.uk and on Facebook and Instagram @wearecountrybike.

Don't forget the AvenueVerte connection, the London to Paris cycle route, where Groombridge Station feautures! https://avenuevertelondonparis.co.uk/etapes/east-grinstead-east-grinstead
