Group Bookings/Coach Parties
Would you like to bring a group or arrange a coach party to travel on the Spa Valley Railway? We can offer a discount on standard travel providing your group is of 20 or more persons when booked in advance on standard train rides.

We'd be delighted to welcome your group or coach party on one of our heritage trains, from either end of the line, there is great main road access to Eridge Station or various Coach parks around Royal Tunbridge Wells too. Whether you want to a block of seats or to reserve a whole carriage we will endeavour to meet your requirements at the Spa Valley Railway.

Tunbridge Wells West station is located at the Pantiles end of the Spa Town, coach parties often parking in the locallity and walking via the world famous High Street and the Pantiles before arriving at our station. 

We often cater for coach parties on our Fish & Chip Lunch or Cream Tea services on selected Green timetable days or sometimes by prior arrangement on other operating days.

Do you operate a coach company and are looking for something to do? We can offer discounts for standard train rides for those booking via a coach company and the coach driver travels for free too! 

The Spa Valley Railway offers the following discounts on Green timetable services for standard travel for Coach Parties:

Fish & Chip Lunches:
Available for just £25 per person on our 12:55 service from Tunbridge Wells West, freshly prepared portion of Cod & Chips (other options are available) will be served at your seat followed by an Ice Cream dessert. Return to Tunbridge Wells West is at 13:55, this trip includes both Steam and Heritage Diesel. Fish & Chip Lunches can be provided by prior arrangement, subject to staff availability and other bookings.

Cream Teas:
Available on the 14:45 service from Eridge for just £20 per person is our popular Cream Tea train, enjoy scones, clotted cream, jam and cups of tea on the way to Tunbridge Wells West. This experience includes both Steam and Heritage Diesel and will return to Eridge at 16:00. Cream Tea services can be provided by prior arrangement, subject to staff availability and other bookings.

The Spa Valley Railway offers the following discounts on Green timetable services for standard travel for Groups of 20 or more persons:

Train times:
On Green timetable days from February 2023, trains depart from Tunbridge Wells West at 10:15 (Steam), 11:30 (Diesel), 12:55 (Steam), 14:10 (Diesel) and 15:35 (Steam). They depart from Eridge at 10:50 (Diesel), 12:05 (Steam), 13:30 (Diesel), 14:45 (Steam) and 16:10 (Diesel).

Payment:
We only accept payment in full by BACS transfer or via our online client gateway Stripe where you can pay by card. We do not accept payment on the day, payment with cash or cheque for private hires.

Coach Parking in Tunbridge Wells (information taken from Visit Tunbridge Wells)
Free coach parking in Royal Tunbridge Wells is available next to the Common. The address is:
London Road A26 Bus Stand, Junction of Church Road and London Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, opposite TN1 1DY (51°08'00.5"N 0°15'33.6"E; 51.133481, 0.259338). There is space for 9 average length coaches and it is available for use 24 hours a day.

For The Pantiles, coaches can drop off/pick up in the coach bay situated behind the Corn Exchange building in Linden Park Road.

For the 'top' end of the town near to the Calverley Precinct, coaches are able to drop off at bus stand J on Goods Station Road opposite Meadow Road Car Park on the A21 side of the one way system.

This is very near to the Royal Victoria Place shopping centre and Fiveways as well as the pedestrianised Calverley Precinct shops.

Coach access to Eridge Station
Unfortunately Eridge station forecourt is inaccessible to coaches due to the width of the road, however there is a service bus stop on the A26 at the junction of Groombridge Lane which is a couple of minutes walk away from Eridge station.
