We are intending to resume our train services on Saturday 22nd August with Class 207 DEMU 1317, this will then operate on Sunday 23rd August before we return Steam to the High Weald on the August Bank Holiday, 29th to 31st August.
To visit the Spa Valley Railway and enter Tunbridge Wells West Station YOU MUST have a valid train ticket for that day, unfortunately we will not allow persons onto our premises without an entry ticket, this is so that we can manage and maintain Social Distancing.
At weekends throughout August, Groombridge Station and the Kiosk will be OPEN from 09:30 to 16:00 for visitors to pop along to enjoy a drink or an ice cream on the station platform!
With the restrictions relaxing on lockdown, volunteers have been able to resume projects under the necessary Social Distancing guidance, this has included some progress on our Steam & Diesel locomotives (such as essential maintenance) and also work to make our yard track layout more flexible, this is increase our operational flexibility and make the arrival of 'Sir Keith Park' easier to manage from a positioning perspective.
Some of our pre-bookings and event webpages are now back online and we are offering three catering options once again during August and September. Click HERE for full details.
