Traditional Ploughman's Lunch

Join us for a Ploughman's Lunch Plus Steam Train ride!
Whilst we can't yet bring you our full roast dinners just yet, you can tuck into a Ploughman's or Roast Chicken Lunch on one of our steam train services, from Eridge. See the glorious High Weald countryside from the comfort of one of our beautifully restored coaches whilst enjoying a freshly prepared lunch which will still include Starter, Main and Dessert!

Arrive at Eridge from 12:20 and you will be asked to board the train in good time prior to departure, which will be at 12:35, and travel to Tunbridge Wells West and return, arriving back at Eridge at 13:50. To assist in Social Distancing your Ploughman's Lunch package will be available on the table for you prior to departing from the station, you can then 'help yourself' to your Ploughman's during your train ride.

What has changed?

1. To ensure we maintain Social Distancing and are COVID secure we will be using two 'Open' carriages which have an aisle down the centre. Passengers will be sat 1m+ from other passengers with protective screens being provided between the bays of seats.
2. On train toilets and a walk-up-bar service will not be available and you will be asked to board and disembark in a certain order. Toilets will be available at Tunbridge Wells West and Eridge along with hand sanitisation points at both stations.
3. On-board catering staff will be wearing additional PPE, they will be wearing masks when they need to approach your bay of seats and will wear gloves when handling anything that we need to put on your table (i.e. a drink). All staff have been briefed on the need to routinely wash their hands and they will have access to our handwashing facilities in bar car 'Kate'. 
4. High Rocks station is also closed.
5. Your food will already be on the table upon boarding for you to help yourselves as you travel through the High Weald! We are unable to provide hot main courses on this service.

Home Roast Breast of Chicken, Sausage wrapped in Bacon, Cranberry Sauce and Stuffing (served cold)

Hand Carved Home Baked Honey Glazed Ham Ploughman's Served with Mild Mustard Pickle, Wheat Baguette, Butter, Mixed Salad, Pickled Onions, Coleslaw and New Potato Salad.

Mature Vintage Cheddar Ploughman's & Stilton Served with Apple Chutney, Wheat Baguette, Butter, Mixed Salad, Pickled Onions, Coleslaw and New Potato Salad.
OR
Aubergine, Tomato and Courgette Stack Ploughman's Served with Houmous (Vegan), Wheat Baguette, Butter, Mixed Salad, Pickled Onions, Coleslaw and New Potato Salad.

Homemade Eaton Mess (Build Your Own) Mini Meringues, Mixed Berries Belgium Chocolate Drops, Raspberry Sauce and Cream
