Steam and Heritage Diesel Train Rides!

Journey through the High Weald countryside by steam!
Our standard Green timetable is in operation with steam and heritage diesel trains in action but with a slight difference, for just £40* you can book a Private Compartment for up to 6 persons (you pay the £40 just once!) to travel from Tunbridge Wells West to Eridge and return. There will be a short break at Eridge for you to see the locomotives before travelling back to Tunbridge Wells West.

You can break your journey and return on a later train at Groombridge, however, we cannot then guarantee you the same compartment later in the day so on some occassions you may have to stand.

*Just £25 for a compartment of 6 persons on the 16:15 from Tunbridge Wells West!

Unlimited Travel
A limited amount of unlimited travel is available on Sunday 25th October on a first come first served basis from the ticket office at Tunbridge Wells West.

Pre-booking is strictly necessary so that we can control the number of people visiting on any one day.

We've installed screens into our open carriages which means that people can now sit back to back increasing our capacity more or less back to what it used to be pre-COVID. We are therefore able to open up bookings to customers for unlimited travel whilst still having enough space on board to maintain social distancing. Passengers will not have a specific seat unless you book into a compartment but you will have the option to sit in other locations around the train.

Routine cleaning will be taking place of tables and high touch points between and during journey's. Hand sanitisation points and hand washing facilities are provided around the railway for you to use along with the ability to accept contactless payment.

Passengers will need to remain seated during the journey and if you are travelling anywhere other than a compartment you will be required to wear a face covering, this requirement also extends to being worn on our stations and in our buildings.

Trains will depart from Tunbridge Wells West at 10:30, 11:55, 13:25, 14:45 and 16:15
Trains will depart from Eridge at: 11:15, 12:35, 14:05, 15:25 and 16:55.

Private Compartment Fare:

You will be required to wear a face covering when on our stations, buildings, sat in an Open Carriage or walking throughout the train, these can be removed when inside a compartment.

If you are unsure of how to complete your booking please contact us here. We have plenty of space available on our trains and can usually accomodate you.
