Join us for a Ploughman's Lunch Plus Steam Train ride!
Tuck into a Ploughman's Lunch on one of our steam and heritage diesel train services, from Tunbridge Wells West. See the glorious High Weald countryside from the comfort of one of our beautifully restored coaches whilst enjoying a freshly prepared Ploughman's lunch which includes a include Starter, Main and Dessert!

All of our Ploughman's include a Tomato Soup Starter, Cajun Chicken or Roast Ham or Cheese or Aubergine Main and a Dessert of Eton Mess! Tickets are just £45 per person which includes train travel and the full Ploughman's Lunch menu.

Arrive at Tunbridge Wells West from 12:20 and you will be asked to board the train in good time prior to departure, which will be at 12:55, and travel to Eridge and return twice, arriving back at Tunbridge Wells West at 15:10.

Your tickets are valid for train travel all day so if you wanted to remain on board, you might need to sit in another part of a train as we do have other experiences, you'd be more than welcome to!

Ploughman's Lunch Menu

2024 dates will be announced in due course, due to the retirement of our current catering supplier we are having to look at alternative suppliers for our some of our ongoing and future dining experiences. We hope to reintroduce Ploughmans Lunch from April 2024.

What’s included in the ticket price?

A three course Ploughman's Lunch service on a round trip from Tunbridge Wells West to Eridge including Starter, Main & Desert.
At seat table service.
A return trip to Eridge from Tunbridge Wells West, hauled by steam and heritage diesel, with extra trips possible if you wish.

Booking information

Please note that smaller parties may need to share a table, due to the small amount of tables for 2 available on our train services.

Advance booking is essential to ride on our Ploughman's Lunch trains.

On the day of your visit you MUST have your eTickets available to show either in a print out or on a mobile device, both will be checked visually by a member of staff before boarding the train.

Note that a £10 admin fee applies to all booking alterations.

We regret that there can be no refund or transfer to a future date for ‘no show’ customers. The Spa Valley Railway still incurs charges for its services which must be paid to our suppliers. We recommend taking out a form of insurance to protect yourself if necessary. To re-book you will be required to pay the full fare again.
