Heritage Diesel Unit Purple Timetable Days

July & August

Climb on board one of our historic 1960s Diesel or Electric Multiple Units!
The Spa Valley Railway is home to a very unique pairing of trains, back in July 1985 when the line closed the last trains were operated by a type of diesel multiple unit, affectionately known as 'Thumpers', we're lucky to be home to one of thees units in fact we're home to one that operated on the last day of train services in 1985!

We're also home to a former Southern Region Electric Multiple Unit that once operated on the 3rd rail network which can work with our Class 73 73140.

Our unlimited travel day tickets allow you to explore the High Weald countryside, including High Rocks and Groombridge.

Trains depart from Tunbridge Wells West at: 10:30, 11:55, 13:25, 14:45 & 16:15.
