The Kent Wine Train!

Climb on board one of our heritage trains to enjoy delicious locally produced wine!
Join us on the Kent Wine train for a unique wine tasting experience like no other where you can enjoy a bottle of English wine at your table as your journey through the countryside between Tunbridge Wells West and Erigde.

Arrive at Tunbridge Wells West and board our heritage 1960s carriages before setting off through High Weald. At your table will be a bottle of your chosen wine either from two vineyards that the railway passes by, with choices from Birchden Vineyard near Groombridge or Wildwood Vineyard near Eridge.

To enhance your wine tasting experience we'll also provide a delightful selection of canapés will be served too. All for just £42 per adult!

What’s included in the ticket price?

• Heritage train ride lasting around 1 hour along the Spa Valley Railway from Tunbridge Wells West.
• 1x bottle of English Wine of your choice between 2 people. 
• A selection of cheese and biscuits.
• Your own branded Spa Valley Railway wine glass.
• At seat waiting service with drinks service allowing, you to purchase more drinks on board.

• Wildwood Vineyard, Eridge – Bishop Odo Bacchus 2023 – 11% (White)
  • A splendidly aromatic dry white wine boasting rich aromas of  gooseberry, elderflower and lemongrass notes on the nose, complemented by fresh apricot on the palate, plus a hint of asparagus and a wonderfully long finish.
• Wildwood Vineyard, Eridge – Thieving Badger Regent 2022 – 11% (Red)
  • A light-bodied wine that packs a punch, boasting rich aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry and stewed fruits, along with gentle notes of vanilla, sweet spices, black pepper and smoky cigar box. Named after the badgers that live in our woods, who try to steal our ripe Regent grapes.
• Wildwood Vineyard, Eridge – Saxonbury Rose 2023 – 11.5% (Rosé)
  
  • An alarmingly refreshing and creamy rosé, made of 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Boasting a rich red fruit profile of fresh raspberry and cranbrerry, plus a hint of menthol, backed up by a gloriously mouth watering citrus finish, with a tickle of spice.
• Birchden Vineyard, Groombridge – The Gregarious Goose 2023 – 11% (White)
  • A bright and fragrant Bacchus, with refreshing notes of lemon, apple and elderflower, balancing a juicy mid-palate and fruit-driven finish.
• Birchden Vineyard, Groombridge – The Foxy Vixen 2023 – 11% (Rosé)
  • A delicately hued and elegant rosé with aromas of raspberry, red apple and white peach, with a crisp and zesty finish.

You must be aged 18yrs or over to travel in the dining carriages during this experience, it is NOT suitable for children, and we are afraid they will not be permitted into the dining cars. Any person lucky to look under the age of 25 will be asked for proof of ID before the first serving.
