High Weald Belle Luncheon « Spa Valley Railway

The perfect way to enjoy a meal on a train!
Climb on board a steam hauled train for a fine 3-course lunch whilst you travel through the High Weald.

Arrive at Tunbridge Wells West from 12:00 to pre-order your drinks, boarding the train will commence from 12:30 for a 12:55 departure. You will travel in our restored 1960s carriages through the High Weald enjoying lunch served by our uniformed waiting staff completing two return trips of the Spa Valley Railway. Our lunch trains are the perfect place for bringing together family and friends in a unique location whilst enjoying a a meal on the train.

The price for our Sunday lunch trains is £60 per person and we can accommodate various sized groups, including individuals, couples, even or odd numbered group sizes.

2024 dates will be announced in due course, due to the retirement of our current catering supplier we are having to look at alternative suppliers for our some of our ongoing and future dining experiences. We hope to reintroduce Sunday Lunch from April 2024.

Our High Weald Belle luncheon service includes:

You will complete two return trips to Eridge from Tunbridge Wells West departing at 12:55 and returning to Tunbridge Wells West at 15:10.
A ride behind a steam and heritage diesel locomotive.
You'll travel in our restored 1960s carriages.
A three course luncheon of starter, main and dessert will be served during the journey.
At seat waiting service by our fantastic volunteers where you will be able to purchase tea, coffee, champagne, prosecco, wines, spirits, beers, ciders, lagers and soft drinks from our on train bar.

Booking information

Please book the correct number of seats per person, tables will be allocated by customer services after booking.

Please note that smaller parties may need to share a table with another party as we only have a limited number of tables for two available on each event.

Booking with a Virgin Experiences Voucher/ Acorne PLC Voucher:

Select the correct day and party size that corresponds with your voucher.
Select meal options
Wine is included with VED/Acorne Vouchers, this can be selected on board the train (or by contacting us at enquiries@spavalleyrailway.co.uk after you have your booking confirmation number), currently it cannot be prebooked online.
Enter the Voucher Number and PIN and click 'redeem voucher' - you should receive a message advising "Your voucher has been processed"
Complete all of the rest of Checkout and click Submit Order to Us at the bottom of the page
Booking fee does not apply to Voucher bookings, but it will show on your booking confirmation which you will receive upon clicking 'Submit Order to Us' at the bottom of the Checkout form

Note that a £10 admin fee applies to all booking alterations.

We regret that there can be no refund or transfer to a future date for ‘no show’ customers. The Spa Valley Railway still incurs charges for its services which must be paid to our suppliers. We recommend taking out a form of insurance to protect yourself if necessary. To re-book you will be required to pay the full fare again.
