Fish & Chip Supper « Spa Valley Railway

British tradition and heritage trains!
Enjoy an evening out with traditional fish & chips on board our heritage train. Our Fish & Chip Supper trains operate regularly throughout the year, usually during special events such as our Steam Gala and Diesel Gala and are often combined with a Real Ale Train.

You will board the train at Tunbridge Wells West and set off for Eridge, completing at least two return journeys during the evening. On some special events we operate quite late into the evening and you'd be more than welcome to remain on board to enjoy further train rides if this is the case.

After boarding you will be served a freshly prepared portion of Cod & Chips or Sausage & Chips or Veggie Burger & Chips (you get to choose at the checkout) in the comfort of our 1960s heritage coaches. A selection of condiments to enjoy with your meal and a slice of cake for dessert will also be on your table.

We unfortunately cannot cater for vegan or gluten free dietary requirements on this experience due to the supplier.

What’s included in the ticket price?

Heritage train ride lasting around 2 hours along the Spa Valley Railway, your departure time and station are shown on your eTicket and you'll return to your start location.
A main and dessert from the menu above.
At seat waiting service with drinks service allowing you to purchase more drinks on board.

Please note there are no alternatives to the above menu choices. If you have any special dietary requirements we must be made aware at the time of booking, menu options must be chosen during the booking process which does include a vegetarian option. It is impossible for us to alter the menu on the evening. We unfortunately cannot cater for vegan dietary requirements on this experience due to the supplie

Booking information

Advance booking is essential to ride on our Fish & Chip trains.

On the day of your visit you MUST have your eTickets available to show either in a print out or on a mobile device, both will be checked visually by a member of staff before boarding the train.

Note that a £10 admin fee applies to all booking alterations.

We regret that there can be no refund or transfer to a future date for ‘no show’ customers. The Spa Valley Railway still incurs charges for its services which must be paid to our suppliers. We recommend taking out a form of insurance to protect yourself if necessary. To re-book you will be required to pay the full fare again.
